We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join the bilingual technical team in Tokyo.　The ideal candidate for this role will be someone who has experience in the following areas:

• Working with users to troubleshoot most any issue
• Administrating servers at client locations
• Coordinating work schedules in order to visit client sites
• Coordinating with colleagues, vendors and clients

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will be involved in projects, take an active role in the development of the technical team, provide technical consultation to clients and provide support to other BiOS’ technical team members.

Areas of Responsibility:

IT Management:

• Design and implement systems to further grow and develop internal technology management systems, tools and workflows for inventory, infrastructure, recruiting, sales and administration.

Technology:

• Software Troubleshooting: Troubleshooting and research issues such as stalled applications, crashes and system freezes.
•  Hardware Troubleshooting (PC): HD, RAM, Video, Monitor, NIC, CPU etc. on various PC's and possibly UNIX hardware
• Server Troubleshooting: HD, RAM, Video, Monitor, NIC, CPU etc. on various Server platforms for Windows and possibly UNIX hardware
• Hardware Troubleshooting (Network): Routers, Switches, Cabling etc. on various devices such as CISCO and Juniper.
• Move, Add, Change requests: PBX, Phones, Monitors, PC's, Printers, Servers
• Server Monitoring: Using remote tools (online or designed systems) to monitor the status of production servers (Web, Mail, File, DNS) and also OS upgrades (Windows, Linux, Unix), application upgrades and patches to keep servers running at their optimal levels.
• Perform Backup of Data: Data back ups, changing tapes and managing inventories.
• Inventory Management: Ordering parts, replacements and managing databases or inventory management systems
• Produce accurate and informative documentation in a professional and timely manner
• Take part in the design and construction of networks
• Setup servers, PCs and other IT equipment

Sales:

• Sales Support: Working with the sales team to offer technical advice and expertise. Generate potential new sales for current or new clients

• Experience supporting Cisco products
• Experience in network designing
• Experience as a procurement advisor
• Troubleshooting skills
• Ability to perform site audits
• Ability to create professional documentation
• Ability to perform PC and server installations
• 3+ years of System Administration experience
• Strong communication skill
